It's important to be aware of bears while camping in the woods. Show children how to do a bear walk by walking on their hands and feet without putting their knees on the floor. Set up a simple path for children to bear walk around. You can draw a path on the cement with sidewalk chalk, or mark it off on the floor with painter's tape. Challenge children to bear walk fast, slow, and even backward along the path. Remind them to look where they're going if they walk backward.
