If you're serious about pattern making, there is only one book you need to start!   „Metric Pattern Cutting for Women's Wear“ from Winfried Aldrich is very good book to pattern cutting and flat pattern drafting. Even as a complete beginner, the book will guide you through all the streps to make different pattern blocks in your specific measurements. It’ll even tell you how to grade up or down sizes.
