Here are three ways you can improve the plot of your book! 1. Have your characters make decisions. • Let your characters drive the plot, not the plot driving your characters. • They shouldn’t be floating from one part of the book to the next. Instead, have them be engaged in the story by making choices that drive the plot forward. • By having your characters make choices, you create more realistic and interesting characters while also improving WHY things are happening in your story. 2.
