Ever caught yourself thinking, “I don’t even know what I’m feeling” or “If I start crying, I might not stop”? Many of us weren’t taught how to sit with our emotions - so we push them away, ignore them, or bury them. BUT avoiding feelings doesn’t make them go away; it just makes them stronger and more controlling over time. When we learn to feel our emotions - without judgment, without overthinking, without shame - it gives us the power to process them and move through them. Each emotion, no matter how uncomfortable, is just energy that wants to be felt and released. By sitting with them, we stop them from running the show and start reclaiming control over how we respond to them.
