Moth Wing Shapes

FALCATE (adjective) - curved like a scythe or sickle; hooked; falciform. Hooktip Moth (Tridrepana sp., Drepaninae, Drepanidae) Close to T. unispina, T. subtusmaculata or T. albonotata, but based on known distribution, is most likely the latter. The Drepaninae are characteristically the ‘hook-tips’, though many genera lack the strongly falcate forewings that this common name refers to.
