The Smurf special shape balloon was built in 1989 to promote the newly opened Smurf Theme Park, Near Metz, France. The park ran on this theme until 2002 when the Smurf theme was dropped and it was renamed Walibi Lorraine. The balloon is a Cameron 90SS (90,000 cubic feet) and was seen flying at the Metz Bicentennial (Fraternite 89) balloon meet in July 1989.
