How To Antique With Paint | Salvaged Inspirations I Randomly Dry-brushed On Some Coffee Bean Paint. Using A Spray Mister Bottle, I Wet The Paint To Keep It Workable. With A Damp Sponge, I Spread The Dark Paint In The Direction Of The Grain Working In Sections. I Made Sure I Liked The Look. If Not I Sponged Off A Little More. There is nothing perfect about this table and that is what we liked about it! Rustic, sturdy and strong, and it deserved a bright coat of red. Perfect for the country/farm style look, especially with the heavily distressed chairs added into the mix. The table has been hand painted in Emperors Silk Chalk Paint then distressed and finally waxed to finish it off.
