Pretend Store - Our puppet theater book shelf doubles as a "Grocery Store" a few weeks each school year. I grocery shop at the dollar store, carefully open the boxes from the bottom, let my family eat the food, then re-glue the boxes for our preschool store. (Note, if you insert styrofoam or package peanuts before re-gluing your boxes, they will last longer.) I also wash out small plastic containers, milk and juice bottles, then spray paint the inside to look more realistic.
