On May 19, 2011, the 3rd Grade students at Elizabeth Smith Elementary hosted a ‘Reading Restaurant.’ Students dressed up and played the part of ‘waiters,’ taking ‘orders’ from the ‘menus’ of titles of their writings throughout this school year. For the ‘Dining Pleasure of parents, administrators and students from other grade levels,’ the 3rd grade students and teachers had a Mexican, Beach, Sports Grill, Nautical, Ball Park and a Rock-and Roll Themed Restaurant from which to select.
