This is one of my favorite exercises to activate the deep core muscles.💖 It helps to strengthen your transverse abdominal muscles as well as your pelvic floor and external obliques, plus it helps reduce back pain. ✨Ensure your lower back stays pressed into the mat at all times, bend your legs to 90 degrees, hips parallel to the ground. ✨Exhale as you lower one leg to the ground - inhale on the way up. Switch legs to complete one rep. ✨Don't rush through the movement, and keep your core engaged. xx

✅ Save these (esp if you’re short on exercise time!)

There's more to the core than the 6 pack muscle. Crunches aren’t “bad” and can be great if you have a sport that needs them, but for the avg person - there are other exercises that may have more ROI. 

If you’re looking to strengthen your core, try to to address greater muscles & motions because more areas impact the core BESIDES just these abs muscles i.e. the glutes/hamstrings/even lats are also important in controlling the trunk!!
