The Dutch angle has been around for decades, especially in action and dynamic movies. Still, for a pretty long time it fell in the oblivion. For some reason, it gained back popularity after its frequent use in the John Wick saga, in which the Dutch angle is usually accompanied with a medium close up shot of the character (usually, John Wick only owns it).
