The landmine offers stability, addressing one of the main challenges of single-leg deadlifts: balance. This allows us to load the movement more effectively. If stability is still a struggle, try a kickstand with the back foot.  The landmine also provides a deep stretch in the glutes, which is key for strength through range—especially since it’s heaviest at the bottom of the movement.  Additionally, it’s corrective. Single-leg hinges can be tricky for many, especially when cueing internal rotation of the hip. The landmine helps guide this motion, promoting coordination of the posterior oblique sling, stabilizing the hips, and reinforcing proper movement patterns. Plus, loading inside the working foot improves contact and stability for better form.

Just because social media raves about a move that is “THE MUST DO MOVE” it doesn’t mean you need to do it! If you don’t feel it you don’t feel it! 🤷🏻‍♀️ modify it play with it make it work for you or move onto the next move
