Dal tadka is a delicious lentil recipe that is made predominantly with tuvar dal (pigeon pea lentils), onions, tomatoes, and spices and finished with a healthy amount of butter/ghee-based tadka(tempering). 

For Dal(Pressure cooker)  
 • Tuvar Dal(Split pigeon peas), washed, soaked for 30 minutes 1/2 cup
 • Masoor dal(split red lentils) 1/4 cup
 • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
 • Water 1 cup
 • Salt 1/2 tsp

Dal fry cooking :
 • Oil 3 tbsp
 • Onion, chopped 1 no
 • Cumin seeds  1 tsp
 • Ginger chopped  1-inch piece
 • Garlic chopped  6 nos
 • Green Chillies, Chopped 2 nos
 • Tomatoes, chopped  2 nos
 • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
 • Red chilli powder  1 tsp
 • Coriander powder 1 tsp
 • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
 • Salt 1 tsp or to taste
