Brideóg, a doll representing the goddess Brigit. It is usually made of reeds or oat stalks, wrapped in colorful cloth, and carried by a local girl or woman represented to embody Brigit. (Traditionally, embodying Brigit is one of the duties of that year's May Queen.)
