💡 STEP ONE: make sure your hair is fully wet and brushed through. you’ll find this a lot more difficult if your hair isn’t smooth beforehand

💡 STEP TWO: apply cream and gel beforehand, I’ve found that applying both stylers before finger rolling really helps the clump stick together

💡 STEP THREE: separate the hair dry and and then roll your fingers down it, placing your index finger underneath

💡 STEP FOUR: wrap the hair strand around this finger, I usually use my index finger and middle finger and roll up to the roots

😭😭🤣 Who else is a victim of finger curling?!! ☝🏽

I used to do it all the time and my results were so much worse and they turned wonky the next day too 😭 surprise surprise bc ringlets are just NOT my natural curl pattern 🙃 now if I wanna finger curl/coil I only do my front parts (even I don’t really do this anymore now) brush styling for the win!!!

If you struggle getting extra defined curls here is a tutorial on how to style your curly hair with finger rolling.
• Make sure your hair is wet enough and then brush in a lightweight gel that will help your curls to clump
• Finger roll eaxh section in a direction of your curl
• Twist at the top and remove the bottom finger
• Unroll

You can use this method all over your hair or just on face framing pieces. It is also a great routine for different curly hair styles.

Some of the time, I miss sections of my hair when applying treatments like conditioners and here’s how I make sure I don’t!

Steps:

💦Make sure hair is wet (water=moisture!)

💦 Apply conditioner using praying hands or raking hands (I’m using @curlsmith_official multi-tasking deep conditioner)

💦Detangle the conditioner through with a brush

💦Grab a small section of hair

💦 Twist and smooth through with finger pads until in a full twist

💦Complete in all sections of hair

💦Leave-in for as long as needed (I only did 10 minutes)

💦Rinse out completely or leave some in to style(that’s what I did!)

💦Add gel and diffuse to finish!
