I really love training pull ups for climbing because you can build excellent pulling strength, develop an impressive back, and use bodyweight mastery.

The pull up is one of the best upper body exercises in my opinion. The best way to get better at pull ups is to practice them. In other words, do pull ups more frequently.

Try to achieve the greatest range of motion upward and downward. For a more challenging variation, you can reduce the size of holds or hold the upper position for two seconds, turning this exercise into a static strength and hand fixation drill. You go with one hand up, do a pull-up, and then return to the original hold you started with. The challenge is to do as many moves in a row as possible! It’s quite strength-endurance intensive, but give it a try and let me know how many moves you did.
