Goblet Squat vs. Dumbbell Sumo Squat  These are two great push movement exercises for beginners that want to learn how to bench press and how to shoulder press with barbells.   Goblet squats are similar to front squats and they are easier to do especially for beginners and people who cannot maintain the front squat position. Goblet squats are a compound movement that target the quads, the hamstrings, the glutes, the lower back, the inner and outer thighs and the rest of the back and shoulder muscles.  Sumo Squats target the same muscles as goblet squats and tend to require more mobility and flexibility around the hips. The wider the stance, the more engaged the glutes, abductors and adductors are. The squat exercise is one of the best all-around movements you can do for your entire body! The squat targets your glutes, quads, hamstrings and even your core and back 👏🏽 

Here are the two main variations of squats (regular, or “humble” & Pulse Squats - there are also pause squats!)

Why I prefer Pulse squats:
 • You constantly re-engage your muscles at the deepest part of your squat
 • It’s an amazing burnout to end your leg day
 • You can do more reps with smaller movements and fatigue your muscles a lot more efficiently

PS: you can do squats with a barbell (front or back), kettlebell, dumbbell or even just body weight squats!

Both squats are ESSENTIAL, and I incorporate both into my leg day routine!

You wanna burn some serious calories try this. Body weight exercises can be challenging and beneficial as well. Add 5lb-10lbs dumbbells to this workout and go to workout. Sometimes it’s ok to have 1-2 days of HIIT training in your workout routine. 

So many cardio exercises just have to be creative. I hope this helps.

How am I getting stronger and more flexibile at the same time? Because of how my training schedule and program are designed 🙌 

Here’s a strength workout where I supersetted exercises that train the same muscle groups but in different ranges.

It wasn’t complicated, only 9 sets and targeted lower body strength and mobility:
 • A1. Back squats 3x6
 • A2. Sissy squats 3x6
 • B1. Sumo deadlifts 3x6
 • B2. Quadruped hip abductions 3x5 3 sec lifts
 • C1. Good mornings 3x6
 • C2. Half kneeling knee flexion 3x5 3 sec lifts
