In 2018, Glasgow Print Studio presented the first showing of 12 new and exclusive unique prints by John Byrne. Byrne, the revered Scottish artist and playwright, has been using the Glasgow Print Studio facilities since the 1970s, publishing a significant and diverse body of work in print. Mainly self-portraits, the 12 exquisite monotype prints in the 2018 exhibition showcased Byrne’s fluid draughtsmanship and his ability to underscore a raw directness with typical humour.
