Many of the helmets from Excalibur were fantasy versions of hounskulls, aka pig faced bascinets. They may have been a major inspiration for Citadel’s early Mk VI beaky space marines (or maybe it was the Wombles). Armorer Terry English created the Excalibur suits as well as the Colonial Marine armor from Aliens.
