Advise the President Issue Guide Series

The Advise the President series is a ready-to-use tool that provides teachers with an opportunity to bring historic Presidential decisions into the classroom. Using a deliberation process, students will learn about history by focusing on pivotal issues faced by past Presidents. The series includes two Advise the President: William J. Clinton issue guides, "What Should the United States Do About the Kosovo Crisis?" and "How Should the United States Reduce Its Deficit to Improve the Economy?." Teachers are invited to use these materials in their classroom or to bring students for a deliberative session at the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.

The Powers of the Presidency

The Power of the Presidency is an online exhibit that provides real life examples of the powers granted to the executive branch by Article II of the US Constitution. Students can explore these four roles through primary sources from the Clinton Administration.
