Billboard Hits Of The World Charts While the majority of Billboard’s charts reflect activity in the United States, Billboard boasts a robust menu of more than 50 Hits of the World charts, which measure music consumption in territories around the globe, providing a wide picture of the biggest songs throughout the world. Among them are the Official U.K. Singles Chart and the Official U.K. Albums Chart, whose histories date to 1952 and 1956, respectively, and showcase the top titles each week in England (as compiled by the Official Charts Company). More recently, Billboard has introduced territory-specific Hot 100 charts among an expansion of the Billboard brand in multiple territories, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.
