Trevor Anderson is a senior charts and data analyst who oversees the R&B, hip-hop, rap and Afrobeats charts at Billboard, helping manage the genres’ streaming, sales and radio data and providing editorial coverage of current achievements, historical highlights and trend analysis. He frequently analyzes chart and cultural trends across genres for multiple platforms, including as a co-host of Billboard Unfiltered, a weekly conversational series that dissects top news in the R&B and hip-hop world and previously on the Chart Beat Podcast and Billboard Live, in conjunction with SiriusXM.
Beyond Billboard, he assists sister Penske Media Corporation (PMC) brands to expand the charts’ presence and legacy through recurring chart-centered video projects, assisting licensing efforts for film and television productions, and research and fact-confirmation for national and international media organizations.
Trevor holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Journalism. Outside the music world, he’s best known as the office’s resident tennis fan (Let’s settle it now – Serena, Nadal, Alcaraz – argue with ya mama!)
