Speech sound milestones taken from McLeod & Crowe (2020) study, tells us that 90% of children will acquire these sounds by the age specified. Early stages between 2-4 years of age show a huge variation in the development of sound acquisition. When a child's speech development doesn't occur in the typical developmental pattern, it's always a good idea to have the child's speech and language screened or evaluated.
