AM4 is an upcoming socket from AMD for future Zen-based CPUs.[1] It will be the first to support DDR4-compatible memory as well as retain unified compatibility between high-end CPUs and AMD's lower-end APUs.[2][3] As of June 2015, AMD products roadmaps point to AM4 instead of the previously expected FM3 socket.[4]
