About the Intel Open Source Technology Center

line

Less Watts and other key projects that Intel participates in or supports with the open source community is led by the Software and Solution Group's Open Source Technology Center (OTC). The OTC is the center for Linux and open source expertise at Intel.

Active contributors to the Linux and open source communities, OTC employees are also regular attendees at community events and conferences, and sought-after speakers and presenters. The OTC team employs and has strong relationships with engineers in all parts of the open source community, including the Linux kernel, Xwindows, the Gnome desktop, and more.

Primarily through the Open Source Technology Center, Intel is one of the top corporate contributors to Linux. Analysis of the code submitted for adoption and integrated into Linux over the last 18 months reveals that Intel is one of the top four corporate contributors.
