Alex Ritman

Alex Ritman is Variety’s London Bureau Chief and focuses on the U.K. film industry while also covering the major festivals and markets. Prior to joining Variety, he spent nine years as U.K. correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter. He was born and raised in Manchester and has a degree in economics and philosophy from Leeds University.
