Hello there!

👋 My name is Melissa (she/her) and I am a PhD student at Northwestern University in computer science.

💭 As a member of the Delta Lab working with Dr. Eleanor O'Rourke, I research intro programming learners' self-efficacy and self-assessments of programming ability, specifically focusing on designing sociotechnical systems to support all students in feeling more confident in their programming abilities.

🎓 I studied computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (class of 2022) where I also dabbled in machine learning and HCI research and backend software engineering internships.
